Hypnotherapy and Intermittent Fasting
Have you ever seen a fat hummingbird, or fat butterfly? No? The reason is that although they basically need sugars from nectar to survive, their bodies are designed and highly adapted to process this fuel efficiently and effectively burn it off as energy whereas a normal healthy human body is designed a different way – we have enough sugar. We don’t need to add any more! As sweet as sugar is, it is deadly. If we consume too much sugar, over a period of time it eats us from the inside out. This may sound alarming but it is true!
Fasting for Health
If you have tried various ways to lose weight without success, want to lose weight quickly and safely – and keep it off, are pre-diabetic, or have type 2 diabetes but are not taking any prescribed medications for it and are trying to control or reverse it through diet, or you need to lose weight for surgery, why not try my new Hypno -Fast™ programme and fast for a healthy new you!
Using various hypnotherapy techniques for weight loss, together with a personally tailored nutritionally balanced intermittent fasting plan from the several protocols to choose from, you will have all the tools you need to lose weight more quickly, reset your metabolism, reduce insulin levels and insulin resistance, and rejuvenate your body and immune system.
A Brief History of Fasting
Historically, fasting has been around for thousands of years with the great ancient Greek philosophers, and in more recent history Benjamin Franklin, adopting a fasting eating pattern lifestyle. And as we all know, many different religions around the world observe fasting periods, with fasting meaning the deliberate absence of food. The Greek philosopher Hippocrates is said to be the “Father of Medicine” and advocated “to eat when you are sick is to feed your illness”, and many other Greek philosophers held the same beliefs with Plato also fasting “for greater physical and mental efficiency”.
The Benefits of Fasting
Intermittent fasting (IF) is a way of life. Fasting is a habit you can acquire and as with most things requires patience, determination and practice to perfect this skill. However, the rewards are great. Intermittent fasting increases the production of the human growth hormone which rejuvenates the body, facilitating fat burning and muscle gain. IF reduces insulin which again facilitates fat burning. Many other benefits of IF include the reduction of inflammation causing autoimmune diseases and arthritis, and
also helps to maintain a healthy brain.
Hypno - Fast™ programme
The first session of this programme is an initial consultation. During this exploratory session we will discuss your requirements, take a background history, discuss what intermittent fasting is and what it does as well as examine the various intermittent fasting plans available.
During session 2 you will be given your chosen intermittent fasting diet plan information, fasting routine, and nutritional recipes which will be discussed in detail and allow you to commence your fasting journey.
Session 3 is a hypnotherapy session where we will work at a subconscious level to support the physical intermittent fasting plan. If you require further hypnotherapy sessions to address emotional eating, for example, these additional session(s) can also be arranged and carried out alongside your intermittent fasting routine.
Session 4 is a 6 week follow-up session where your progress will be assessed, and where we can discuss and make any alterations and adjustments where necessary.
Each session lasts approximately 1 hour and costs £60.00*.
You will be supported via email throughout this programme.
*This fee is applicable at the Grantham base only.
